Does anyone know for sure if all 2nd gen 3500's came with trac-lok diffs? I read somewhere that all 3500's came with them and was optional on the 2500's. I have the diff from a 3500 apart and hard to tell if trac-lok as to be honest I have no idea of what they look like.

I have a 1996 Ram 3500 daully with the 5.9 Cummins and a 47re transmission (according to the VIN), RWD and no PTO. My question is: I was recently told that the transmission from a Gen 2 V10 would be a direct replacement? And it would be easier and cheaper to find. Can anyone confirm this?
